Picks
- Both Teams to Score – Yes @ 1.60
For Hradec Kralove vs Besiktas, Both Teams to Score – Yes @ 1.60 is the most logical angle for me. Besiktas are clearly the stronger team on paper, with a huge edge in squad value, individual quality and attacking talent, but that does not automatically make a clean away win the best market. In a first-leg European qualifier, the favorite often tries to control the match rather than simply run through the opponent, and that can still leave chances at both ends.
Hradec Kralove are an uncomfortable home opponent. They are not a team that should just sit deep and wait for the match to end. In the previous European round, they already showed they can compete at this level, scoring 4 goals and conceding only 1 across 2 matches in this UEFA campaign. That gives them a strong base for a home goal, especially in a first-leg setup where the home side needs energy, bravery and attacking presence.
Hradec do not need to dominate the match to score. Their goal can come from a set piece, a cross, a second ball, a quick transition or a Besiktas mistake in midfield. At home, they will have enough intensity to create those moments. Against a stronger Turkish side, set pieces, rebounds and transition situations are exactly the kind of routes that can bring the underdog goal.
Besiktas also have a strong scoring case because of their attacking quality. Orkun Kökcü, Rashica, Cerny, Hyeongyu Oh, Semih and the midfield creativity give them the tools to score in this type of matchup. They do not need to play at a wild tempo. One good attacking combination, one individual action or one Hradec defensive mistake can be enough for Besiktas to find the net.
The match script points toward a controlled but not fully closed game. Besiktas are the better team, but away from home in the first leg, they do not need to turn the tie into chaos. Hradec, however, should still offer real threat at home. Their previous European round already showed that they can score goals, and in front of their own crowd they have enough confidence to attack.
Horațiu Feșnic’s refereeing style also fits this angle. He is generally stricter and more card-heavy, which can break the rhythm of the match, but it can also create more set pieces and dangerous dead-ball situations. That matters for Hradec, because set pieces, crosses and physical moments are their best way to reduce the quality gap. Besiktas, meanwhile, have enough attacking quality to score from their own attacking phases.
